Thaddeus Kownacki

Waynesville, Thaddeus Hyacinth Kownacki, age 95, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at The Homestead. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Navetta Kownacki, who passed away in 2009, his parents, and three brothers and sisters. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II. Ted retired from Chrysler Corporation with 37 years service as a manager. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit teams. Ted is survived by a son, Michael T. Kownacki and his wife, Janet, of Waynesville two grandsons, Jon Kownacki of Atlanta, Georgia and Adam Kownacki and his wife, Amie, of Seal Beach, California; and several nieces and nephews. No local services are planned.
