Theresa Cox

Maggie Valley, Theresa Jeanne Cox, age 51, of 11 Rabbit Hunt Ridge Road, died on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Palm Beach, Florida, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Jacqueline M. Cunningham. Theresa loved the mountains and enjoyed taking in its scenic beauty and enjoyed baking delicious cheesecakes. She is survived by a stepson, Joseph Goodwyn and wife, Melissa, of Florida; two step-grandchildren, Austin and Cassidy Goodwyn; one nephew, Michael Cox, Jr. and wife, Janna and their two children, Lydia Ann and Lauren Jett Cox; several life-long friends and cousins; a special caregiver, Tom Smith; and a special companion, Dina, her dog. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2009 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home.
