Therese "Terri" Van Dyck

Maggie Valley, Therese "Terri" Czyz Van Dyck, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Care Partners Solace Center.

A native of Illinois she was a daughter of the late Walter John and Sophie Smoter Czyz.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Barry Van Dyck; and a sister, Nancy Valente.  Therese was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, a choir member and an affiliate into the  Order of Saint Augustine.  She was a very talented lady, she loved floral design and hand painted portraits on ceramic tiles for many people, and of all of her grandchildren.

Therese is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ron Van Dyck; daughter, Mary Beth Carellas (William); three sons, John Van Dyck (Kathy), Kenneth Van Dyck (Susan) and Thomas Van Dyck (Amy); two brothers, Walter and Robert Cycz; thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church with Father Frank Doyle officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
