Thomas Beasley, Jr.

Thomas "Richard" Beasley Jr., 39, of Gastonia, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Homestead, Florida, son of Velma "Penny" Beasley and Thomas Richard Beasley Sr. and wife, Dianna. Richard served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from 1993-97. Thomas was self employed, certified in A/C, heating and refrigeration technology. He enjoyed power lifting, a sport in which he received many awards. Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas Richard Beasley III, of Waynesville. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesville. Condolence messages may be sent online to www.mcleanfuneral.com.
