Thomas Rogers

Thomas Harmon "Red" Rogers, age 88, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Thomas H. and Minta Jarrett Rogers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tulon Warren Rogers, who died in 1998. Red was employed with American Enka Corporation for 44 years and was a member of Living Hope Church. He is survived by two sons, Jerry Rogers and his wife, Kathleen, of Hendersonville, and Thomas H. "Tommy" Rogers, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Candler; one daughter, Jennifer Rogers Robertson and her husband, George, of Raleigh; one sister, Mildred Boone of Waynesville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Tommy, 10 Dixon Terrace, Candler, NC 28715. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Care Partners Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
