Thomas Russell

Canton-Thomas Edwin "Tommy" Russell, age 56, of 59 Devlin Street, died unexpectedly onTuesday, January 25, 2005. He was a native of Haywood County and had lived most of his life here. He was a son of the late Jim and Delitha Franklin Russell. He was employed by Terry Brothers Construction for 13 years as a mechanic. Tommy was a proud Papa. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Luzean Owenby Russell of Canton, one daughter Tina Toney and her husband James of Canton, one son Brian Russell and his wife Tracy of Canton, five sisters Ruby Hannah, Janie Stevens and her husband Johnny, Lucy Smith and her husband James, Dorothy Justice and Gail Owenby and her husband David, all of Canton, one brother Jimmy Russell of Canton, 4 grandchildren Josh and Andrew Toney and Cassidy and Clayton Russell. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 at Mt. View Church of God with Reverend Herman Toney officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton. At other times, the family will be at 59 Devlin Street for other visitation. Serving as pallbearers will be nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
