Thomas Alan Whitten, born on December 12, 1972, passed away at his home on March 19, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend.
Thomas dedicated a significant part of his life to his career, beginning with his tenure at the Curb & Gutter Company and most recently lending his talents to Sweep Rite. His commitment to his work was reflected in the friendships he formed and the respect he garnered from his colleagues over the years.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Thomas was known for his adventurous spirit, particularly as an avid fisherman. He cherished moments spent by the water, where he found both peace and joy. His love for nature extended beyond fishing, as he also had a deep affection for his dogs, Reba and Blue, and held a special place in his heart for his parrot, Rafael. These animals were more than just pets to Thomas; they were beloved companions who enriched his life.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Eddie & Ellarae Whitten and mother, Donna Whitten; his sister, Cindy Long (Nancy Campbell); and his brothers, Jamie Whitten, Brian Moore, and Shane Whitten. He is also remembered by several aunts, who will carry forward the cherished memories of him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
As his family and friends reflect on his life, they remember him not only for his achievements but also for the warmth and kindness he brought to all who knew him. Thomas Alan Whitten will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of those he touched.
