Waynesville, Timothy Scott "Tim" Hampton, age 47, of 71 Grapeleaf Drive, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at his residence. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he had lived most of his life in Haywood County. He was the son of Edward and Helen Banks of Marshall. He worked for Curb and Gutter, Inc. for the past 24 years as a concrete finisher supervisor. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Bonnie Hampton; two sons, Michael Ray Shuler and his wife, Amy, of Columbia, SC and Kenneth Shane Shuler and his wife, Tina, of Waynesville; two daughters, Lisa Marie Nations and her husband, Bernardo M. Valdez and Stephanie Michele Shuler, both of Waynesville; three sisters, Kim Dillard and her husband, Kenneth, of Waynesville, Debbie Baldridge and her husband, J.R., of Morganton, and Becky Shelton and her husband, Scott, of Marshall; one brother, Jesse Hampton, III and his wife, Trish, of Waynesville; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog and best friend, "Lady." Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
