Toba Grogan

Canton – Toba Allen Grogan, age 89, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late, W.R. "Bill" and Annette Bryson Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bruce James; and two sisters, Betty Anderson and Neil Ann Ivester. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry James of Candler; one son, Eugene "Frosty" Grogan and his wife, Karen, of Canton; three grandchildren, Hollie Rathbone and her husband, Chris, Shannan Birmingham and friend, Danny Washburn, and Shane James and his wife, Julie; two great-grandchildren, Sherrill Rathbone, and Justin James and; his wife, Amanda; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ophelia James. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Bon-A-Venture on Old Clyde Road with the Reverend Paul Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
