Tommy Parham

Leicester - Tommy Monroe Parham, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Northern Jackson and Nellie Jane West Parham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gracie Jones and Kathleen Cole. Tommy enjoyed watching sports and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley Coleman Parham; three daughters, Tinesa Parham and her husband, Martin Wilkes, of Candler, Lisa Mays and her husband, Teddy, of Asheville, Lori Parham and her husband, Scottie Worley, of Leicester; two brothers, Billy Parham and Jimmy Parham, both of Leicester; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Rice and Reverend David King officiating. Burial will follow at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery in Leicester. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
