Tonda Thomas

Tonda Smith Thomas, age 52, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late John Roland and Sible Lucille Thomason Smith. Tonda was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, golfing, and being on their boat on the lake. She is survived by her husband of ten years, David LaVern Thomas; two daughters, Sheena Parton of Murphy and Adrienne Parton of Bristol, Virginia; two brothers, Johnny Smith of Lake Wells, Florida and James Smith of Canton; three grandchildren, Alexis and Jace Pullnoght and Mason Morris. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Long's Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
