Tonya Putnam

Tonya Lynne Putnam, age 32, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Donna Jones and her husband, Bill of Canton and Tony Lewis Putnam and his wife, Jackie of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her loving grandfathers, Guy Mease and J. L. Putnam and her step-father, Gary Sollazzo. She was a 1999 graduate of Pisgah High School and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Tonya loved her family and her dogs, Buddy and Ginger, more than anything. She always demonstrated a kind heart toward others. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her special sister, Teisha Ann Putnam; her grandmothers, Sarah Reece Mease and Judy Blazer Putnam both of Canton; aunts, Karen Mease Grogan, Kim Mease Singleton, and Teresa Putnam Clark; uncles Tim Putnam and Trevor Putnam and each of their families; and step brothers, Christopher, Andrew, and Hunter Geiss. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
