Tracy Mehaffey

Waynesville-Tracy Selena Mehaffey, age 42, of the Saunook Community passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at her residence. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter Clyde and Mabel Downs Mehaffey. Tracy was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She loved her family with all of her heart. She will greatly be missed by everyone, and we all loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Trashay Messer and her fiancé, David Robinson, of Canton; a son, Luke Messer and his fiancé, Mary Brown, of Waynesville; a boyfriend, Michael Dewey Deaver, of the Bethel Community; a sister, Dee Sluder and her husband, Dean, of Fletcher; three brothers, Dewey Mehaffey and his wife, Kathy, of the Bethel Community, Bill Mehaffey and his wife, Debbie, of Clyde, and Steve Mehaffey and his wife, Brenda, of Waynesville; a grandson, Noah William Messer and was expecting two additional grandchildren; and her first husband, Junior Messer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Shuford officiating. Burial will follow at Ratcliffe Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
