Troy Ivester

Canton - Troy Vincent Ivester, age 95, of Pooler, Georgia formerly of Allen Street in Canton died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at his daughter's residence in Pooler, Georgia. He was a native of Swain County and the son of the late Julas Patton and Martha Foster Ivester. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Barnes Ivester who died in 2001. He retired from Champion International with 40 years of services. He is survived by a daughter, Martha Alice "Billie" Dockery and her husband, Mike of Pooler, GA and a granddaughter, Jennifer "Ginger" Beasley and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Megan Beasley.. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Christopher Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
