Troy Gene Manning

Troy Gene Manning passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the home he shared with his wife, Peggy Manning. He would have been 63 on his birthday, March 31.

Mr. Manning was a U.S. Navy veteran stationed on the USS Puget Sound. Following his service to his country, he was employed as a truck driver for Shelton Oil for many years. He was an avid rock hound and enjoyed sharing this time outdoors with his wife.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Jo Ann Manning.

In addition to his wife, Troy is survived by sisters, Tara Gibson and Tami Manning; brother, Todd Manning; daughter, Kindra Manning; sons, Justin Manning and Justin Tweed; stepson, Travis Gosselin; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Troy Manning will be held on Sunday, April 13 at Edgewood Baptist Church, 61 Moody Ave., Candler, NC, following the regular morning worship service.

The care of Mr. Manning has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
