Tula O'Neil

Waynesville-Tula McElroy O'Neil, age 83, formerly of Balsam, died Wednesday, June 20, 2003 at Britthaven of Franklin.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Zemery V. and Georgia Kate Green McElroy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jackson O'Neil and a brother, Willard McElroy. She was a retired employee of Wellco and was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Jerry McElroy, of Haina City, Florida; two grandchildren, Angela Khorshid and Shanna Inman; and a great grandson, Brannon O'Brien.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2003 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
