Ulus Kuykendall

Canton - Ulus Bruce Kuykendall, age 80, of 2959 Asheville Highway, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the son of the late Ulus and Imogene Gibson Kuykendall. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll Kuykendall and Norman Grooms. He was a custodian with the Haywood County School System and retired in 1992 with 30 years of service. Bruce was a gun and knife trader and an avid Atlanta Braves and NASCAR fan. He is survived by a sister, Martha E. King and her husband, Jack, of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Bruce requested that no services be held.
