Vance Pressley

Candler-Vance Roy Pressley-89, died Friday, November 8, 2002 at Flesher's Fairview Health Care.

He was a son of the late Walter T. and Alma Harrell Pressley and was the husband of the late Ardie Mae Trull Pressley who died in 1984. He was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Pressley was a United States Army Veteran of World War II having received the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the VFW Post #891.

He is survived by two daughters, Lorene Morgan and her husband, John E. "Eddie" and Wanda Hall and her husband Hayes, all of Candler, one sister, Ethel Pressley McElrath of Taylors, SC, three brothers, William Calvin Pressley of Asheville, Marlen Pressley and Onley Pressley both of Candler and one granddaughter, Melissa O'Kelley of Candler.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2002 at Pole Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Dennis Thurman and Reverend G. W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Snow Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
