Vaughn Rogers, Jr.

Waynesville, Vaughn "Keith" Rogers, Jr., age 70, passed suddenly from earth to eternity on October 24, 2012 at his home. He was born in Haywood County to Ruby Sizemore Rogers and the late Vaughn Keith Rogers, Sr. and was also preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Timothy Rogers. He was president of American Furniture Galleries and Eagle Arts in Montgomery, Alabama for 40 years. He enjoyed sharing his faith in Christ with others, spending time with his family and grandchildren, fishing and car racing. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, "Pat" Wilma Rogers; daughters, Cathy Messer and husband, Gary Messer, Pam Rogers, Cindy Hendershot and husband, Tim, of Canton; a son Randy Rogers and wife, Robin, of Montgomery, Alabama; sisters, Janice Rogers, Carolyn Sizemore and husband, John, all of Canton; grandchildren, Brittany Davis and husband Jeff, and Randi Rogers of Montgomery, Alabama, and Tanner Messer and Brianna and Alex Hendershot, of Canton. Funeral and burial services will be at Burnette Siding Baptist Church, at 7321 Lake Logan Road, Canton, NC on Saturday, October 27th, 2012. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 and funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial services will be in the Burnette Siding Baptist Church cemetery.
