Vaughn Sisk

VAUGHN DAVID SISK "Loving Father and Friend" Waynesville, Vaughn David Sisk, 71, passed away on Saturday, October 18 2014 at the Homestead. He was a native of Jackson County and lived most of his life in Haywood County. Vaughn was the son of the late Burnice and Affidell Cope Deweese. He was also preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Frank and Hilda Davis. Vaughn was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era and retired from Dayco Corporation after 36 plus years of service. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the sport of football. He will be remembered for being a loyal friend to many and having a humble spirit. He is survived by a daughter, Chrystal Phillips and her husband, Earl of Duncan, SC; a son, John David Sisk and his wife, Missy of Smyrna, GA; a special friend, Carolyn Westlake Gratton and her children and grandchildren; an "adopted granddaughter," Rhonda Wise; and a faithful companion, his Austrian Shepherd "Buttons." Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 21, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kitty Crain officiating. Burial will follow at Ratcliff Cove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
