Velda Holder

Waynesville, Velda Arrington Holder, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, 25, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late W.R. and Belle Smathers Arrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herman Holder, who died in 2009 and infant children, Deborah Ann and Charles Timothy Holder. Velda is survived by one daughter, Rebekah Olson and her husband, Glenn, of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Meagan Kay Mintz and her husband, Justin, and Timothy Daniel Price; and great-grandson, John Brennen Mintz. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
