Vera Fulcher

Candler-Vera Frady Fulcher, age 86, of 162 Morgan Cove Road, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a native of Fowler, Colorado and lived in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Robert Frady, Sr., and Nellie Trull Frady. She was the wife of the late C. B. "Bennie" Fulcher who died in 1979 and was also preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters. Mrs. Fulcher was a lifelong member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Katherine F. and Buck Reed of Raleigh, NC, Ruth F. and Danny Whitted of Candler, two sons and their wives Gerald R. and Nancy Fulcher and Ronnie R. and Ruth Ann Fulcher, all of Alvin, TX, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2004 at Ridgeway Baptist Church with Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton. At other times the family will be a Vera's home, 162 Morgan Cove Road, Candler, NC 28715. The family requests that in lieu of flower memorials may be made to Enka-Candler Fire Dept., P.O. Box 340, Candler, NC 28715.
