Vera Hannah

Candler-Vera Ollivee Hannah, age 67, died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at her residence.

She was a native of Haywood County and was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Jessie Homer and Mary Frances Carver. She was a member of Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joe Hannah of Candler, four daughters and their husbands, Diane and Pete Stamey, Kathy and Ron Howell, Nancy and David Stamey and Shelley and Richard Anders, all of Candler, two sons, Gary Hannah and his wife Donna and Shane Hannah, all of Candler, three sisters, Gladys Franklin of Waynesville, Margaret Lindsey of Fletcher and Pat Banks of Asheville, two brothers, Bill Carver of Candler and Robert Carver of Charlotte, 4 grandchildren, Amy and Crystal Kanupp, Monica Stamey and Chad Hannah.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Ridgeway Baptist Church with Reverend Jack W. Collins and Reverend Tommy Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
