Verna Burch

Asheville – Verna Leming Burch, 94, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at John F. Keever Solace Center.

Verna was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Rufus and Mabel Edwards Leming.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Downey Burch, who died in 2010.  Verna was employed by Square D in Asheville for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Melinda Jane Sprinkle (Rich) of Enis, Montana; one son, Michael Burch of Candler; one sister, Nancy Farmer of Sylva; one grandchild, Danny Sprinkle; and two great-grandchildren, Lacy and Courtney.

A private graveside service will be held with the Reverend Larry Rice officiating.
