Vernie Case

Vernie Clontz Case, age 88, of Trammel Avenue, died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Larkin and Melissa Taylor Clontz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulas Grant Case who died in 1990. Mrs. Case was employed by American Enka and was a member of Candler House of Prayer. She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Boone, Judy Kirkpatrick, Norma Cole and her husband, Dan, and Mary Lou Milner and her husband, Dewayne all of Canton; three sisters, Sarah Andrews of Atlanta, GA, Velma Mathis, and Hazel Henderson both of Canton; six grandchildren, Debbie Mills and her husband, Larry, Karen Robitelle and her husband, Jason, Pam Cole and her fiancée, Greg Kaller, Lorrie Jenkins, Kathy Ingle and her fiancée, Jerry Donham, and Bruce Ingle and his wife, Whitney; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road with the Reverend Chuck Waldrup officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Candler House of Prayer, P. O. Box 705, Candler, NC 28715.
