Vicky Howell

Waynesville, Vicky Moody Howell, 66, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Manuel Houston Moody and Mary Randall Moody.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Howell, who died in 2011; sisters, Brenda Miller and Frances Fie; and brothers, John Randall and James Moody.

Vicky enjoyed the hunt of a good thrift shopping excursion and tending to her thriving garden each year.  A proud member of Valley View Independent Baptist Church, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.  Those who loved her will so very much miss her presence in their lives.

Vicky is survived by her two dear daughters, Lori Moody and Michelle Ammons; sister, Mary Ellen Palagonia; sisters-in-law, Mildred Randall and Ruby Rogers; special niece, Tammie Phillips; nieces, Mary Jane Messer, Amanda Conner, Mary Jane Moody, Stephanie Fisher, Lisa Grasty, Nancy Strickland, Earlene Long, and Sherry Wall; and nephews, Ricky Byington and Michael Fie.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p. m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation, 256 Industrial Park Dr., Suite B, Waynesville, NC 28786.

The care of Mrs. Howell has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
