Violet Brookshire

Leicester- Violet Brookshire, age 83, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at her daughter's residence. Violet was a native of Haywood County, she had lived the past two years in Acworth, GA. She was the daughter of the late Furman and Jessie Crawford Keener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Brookshire, who died in 2006. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed making cakes for any special occasion. Violet was always giving and taking care of others, putting their needs above her own. She was devoted to her family and loved her Lord above anything. Violet was a member of North Canton Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Revonda Hall and her husband, Edward, of Acworth, GA; Charlene Dover and her husband, Dan, of Leicester and Debrea Silver and her husband, Gary, of Canton; two sisters, Eula Mae Warren and Alma Holcombe; five grandchildren, Pamela Hall, Brooke McKee and her husband, Ray, Trent Dover, Chad Silver and his wife, Kami, and Nicholas Silver and his wife, Alisha; and four great grandchildren, Connor McKee, and Ethan, Jacob and Cecilee Silver. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Asheville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
