Violet Clark

Violet Brown Clark, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, November 02, 2010 at her residence. A native and lifelong residence of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Welker and Thelma Katherine Cody Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. She retired from Champion International and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Violet loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed leisurely drives with Homer in the mountains and reading her Bible. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Homer Clark; three sons, Phillip Clark and his wife, Cynthia, Brian Clark and his wife, Wendy, and Paul Clark and his wife, Trish, all of Canton; two sisters, Norma Lou Lowe and Brenda Taylor and her husband, Robert; one brother, Albert Brown and his wife, Rosa; six grandchildren, Sean Simpkims, Brittney Clark, Justin Clark, Cody Clark, Austin Morgan, and Colton Clark; and one great-grandchild, Kayden Simpkins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Entombment will follow in The Horizon at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the services.
