Violet Early

Waynesville, Violet Marie Rathbone Early, age 80, of Chambers Mountain Road, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Smoky Mountain Health Care and Rehabilitation. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nancy Eveline Packett Rathbone and was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Early, and a daughter, two sisters and one brother. Violet is survived by her son, Clarence Sexton; stepchildren, Jessie Clark and Buddy and Leon Early; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Carson and Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
