Violet Snyder

Canton-Violet Henson Snyder, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Nations Henson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard John Snyder, who died in 2004; two brothers, Vennoy and Vernon Henson and two sisters, Virginia Blythe and Annie Henson. She is survived by three brothers, Vanise, Valgene "Butch" and Verlyn Henson all of Canton; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Heath Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
