Virginia Kuykendall

Virginia Mae "Cricket" Kuykendall, 77, of Canton passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at her residence.  A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Annie Mae Pressley Creasman.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy L. Kuykendall on July 7, 2018.

Cricket enjoyed quilting, cake decorating and many more crafts, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.  She was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Darlene Edwards and her husband, Rev. Mark Edwards, of Waynesville; sons, Roy Daryl Kuykendall and his wife, Janna and Troy David Kuykendall and his wife, Renee, all of Canton; sister, Rosa Lee Creasman of Canton; brother, Charles Creasman and his wife, Lillian, of Pisgah Forest, NC and grandson, Daniel Lewis Edwards.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home.  Reverends Mark Edwards and Richard Lanning will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery.
