Clyde - Virginia Price Corzine Long, age 89, of Maple Street, Clyde, died Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Earl and Etta Fansler Price. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carlton Corzine, who died in 1965, and by her second husband, Leo Long, who died in 1970. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Long was a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church and was formerly employed at Clyde's Drug Store and Champion International. She served as a volunteer member of the Haywood Regional Medical Center's Auxiliary, where she had over 10, 000 hours of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as The United Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by a son, Doug Corzine and his wife, Meritha, of Candler; and a sister, Mary Sellars and her husband, Howard, of Canton. At her request, a private service will be conducted at a later time. Memorials may be made to Clyde Central United Methodist Church, PO Box 8, Clyde, NC 28721.
