Virginia Sue Rupert

Virginia Sue Willis Rupert was born on September 27, 1962, to the late Burdette and Robbie Willis and entered Heaven on Saturday, January 25, 2025. 

She was known by many as "Mama Sue" to all the kids who came through the doors. And then later became "Mamaw Sue" to their children. She was a friend to all, not knowing a stranger. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 29 years, Robert. Her children Tonya, Stephanie, Jeremy and Nikki. Four grandchildren Cash, Chance, Chevelle and Remmi. Two sisters, Romanie Turner and Sheila Trull. Many nieces and nephews. And many, many friends. 

A celebration of Mama Sue's life will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 8, 2025,  at Starnes Cove Baptist Church, 149 Starnes Cove Rd, Asheville, NC 28806., with Pastor William Moore and Pastor Charlie Sams officiating.  The family will receive friends following service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
