Virginia Schandevel

Waynesville, Virginia Augustine Schandevel, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Joanne Walgraf Cornelis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Morris August Schandevel, who passed away in 1986. Virginia loved playing cards, traveling, being involved in Meals on Wheels and social activities. She attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Waynesville. She is survived by two sons, Jim Schandevel and his wife, Patti, of Clyde and Jack Schandevel and his wife, Margaret, of Harrison Twp, Michigan; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home, 226 Cocker Blvd. Mt. Clemens, MI 48043. The family would like to give a special thank you to Autumn Care for their kindness and care of Virginia.
