Vivelene Burnette

Vivelene Atkins Burnette, age 75, of 39 Indian Trail Road, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Mountain Area Hospice. She was a native of Yancey County and the daughter of the late Dallas and Adelene Laughter Atkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Johnson Burnette, who died in 2002 and two brothers, Jay Atkins and Bobby Atkins. She was a homemaker and a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Nannie Muse Sunday School Class. She is survived by two daughters Sylvia Bartlett and Kathy Metcalf and her husband, Wayne; a son, Larry Burnette all of Candler; four grandchildren Nathan Bartlett, Keri Wilson and her husband, Kris, Erin Crouse and her husband, Matt and Matthew Burnette; and one step great granddaughter, Ana Gwyn Wilson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. prior to the services. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
