Wallace Peek

Canton-Wallace William Peek-age 89, of 67Jeffrey Lane died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of the late William Martin and Grace Fore Peek and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army and served in the CBI Theater.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara Welch Peek, one daughter, Kay Peek Rhinehart and her husband Jerry of Clyde, one son, Dr. Wallace William "Bill" Peek, Jr., of Forest City, one foster sister, Leona Riddle of Canton, 2 grandsons, Bret and Todd Rhinehart and 1 great-granddaughter, Holli Rhinehart.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Arthur M. O'Neil, Jr. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
