Wanda Campbell

Wanda "Granny" Sutton Campbell, age 70, of 11 Laura Drive went home to God surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Cocke County, TN and had resided in Haywood County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Elbert and Eva Barnes Sutton. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rubel Sutton. She was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and going to yard sales. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She is survived by four daughters, Nora and Donna Campbell of the home, Cora Worley and her husband, Harry, and Joann Thomas and her husband, Bobby, all of Canton; a son Roy Campbell and his wife, Karen, of Canton; three sisters, Wilma Moore of Knoxville, TN, Ila Campbell of Bethel and Lena Roberts and her husband, Henry, of Leicester; five brothers, Robert Sutton and his wife, Wanda, Lawrence Sutton and his wife, Lucille, Henry Sutton and his wife, Wilma, and Tom Sutton and his wife, Helen, all of Leicester and Kyle Sutton and his wife, Margaret, of Canton; nine grandchildren, Wayne Worley, Marcia "Blossom"Surrett, Gayle Campbell, Theresa Crowe, Bill Campbell, Bryan Campbell, Jason Campbell, Chad Worley and Luke Campbell; eleven great-grandchildren, Haley Crowe, Calvin Surrett, Brooke Crowe, Emily Shook, Casey Worley, Madison Worley, Alexis Campbell, Andrew Worley, Blake "Littleman" Surrett, Brianna Campbell and Ethan Worley and special children, Haley Shook, Heather Shook, Devin Shook and Natalie Pilkington. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Gene Worley and Reverend Harry Worley officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. At other times, the family will be at 11 Laura Drive, Canton. Pallbearers will be Wayne Worley, Bill, Bryan, Jason and Luke Campbell, Charles Crowe, Mike Surrett and Bobby Thomas.
