Wanda Levy

Wanda Henson Levy, 82, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, October 04, 2015. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Hoyle and Katy Warren Henson. Wanda was a lifelong, devout Christian and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy, Rex and Donald Henson.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph George Levy, Sr.; children, Louise Osborne of Atlanta, Marilyn (Jeffrey) Rogers of Candler, Joseph Levy, Jr. of SC and Alan (Mae) Levy of Asheville; brother, Larry Henson of Candler; sisters, Vondell Rhodes of Asheville, Euna Herb of Candler, Nona Anderson of Asheville, Judy Pepper of Lake James and June Taylor of Greenville; grandchildren, Jeremy Rogers and Ashley Osborne; and good friend and brother-in-law, Andy Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 7 at Brown's View United Methodist Church, Candler with Rev. Chad Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Church cemetery.
