"Loving Mother and Grandmother" Canton – Wanda Mae Inman Rogers, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Anderson and Jessie Virgie Mae Franks Inman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Floyd Rogers, who passed away in 2006 and two brothers, Marvin and Wade Inman. Wanda was a longtime owner of Bethel Grocery and a big Carolina Tar Heels basketball fan. Wanda loved spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren's activities. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Keener and her husband, Marvin, of Canton; Anne Kilby and her husband, Lee, of Waynesville and Pam Rogers and her husband, Mark, of Canton; a sister, Vieta Heisler of Canton; five grandchildren, Angela Ledford, Amber Messer and husband, Anthony, Cheyenne Keener and wife, Alexis, Cameron Kilby and wife, Jessica, and Danielle Kilby; and five great-grandchildren, Addison, Arley, Will, Harper and Briar. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
