Waynesville, Wanda Frances Moody Sutton, age 93, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clifton and Myrtle Mehaffey Moody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elford Sutton, who died in 2008; son, Robert Boyde Sutton, who died in 1988; three brothers, James, Bill and John Moody; and a sister, Alva Jo Carver. Wanda was a member of Barberville Baptist Church.
Wanda is survived by three grandchildren, Douglas Sutton, Marci Kay Sutton Schneider, and Carol Lynn Sutton; three great-grandchildren, William and Harrison Sutton and Hudson Schneider; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Donnie Bryson, Clayton Davis and Gene Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
