Warren Stiles

Warren Lee Stiles, age 53, died Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Asheville Speciality Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Don Stiles of Canton and the late Glenna Warren Stiles. He was presently employed with Evergreen Packaging and a member of Canton First United Methodist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Pisgah High School and a graduate of Asheville Buncombe Technical College. Warren enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends. In 1971, he along with his brother Ward, were recognized by Boy Scouts of America, Troop #316 as Eagle Scouts. In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Norma Warren and her husband, Edwin, of Canton; a brother, Ward Stiles and his wife, Glena, of Candler; nieces and nephews, Jonah Warren and his wife, Katie of Milton, FL, Jacob Warren of Raleigh, Meredith Stiles of Chicago, IL, and Laurel Stiles of Morganton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Ed Lowder and Reverend Patricia Chaput officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dennis Williamson, Derric Brown, Tom Hall, Joe Brookshire, Tom Hyatt, Don Smathers, Carey Duckett, and Tom Boone.
