Wauneta Crawford

Nashville, TN-Wauneta Elizabeth Putman Crawford, age 91, formerly of Hazelwood, died on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Richland Place. A native of Ogle County, Illinois, she was a former resident of Sterling Illinois, and had resided in Haywood County since 1950. She was the daughter of the late A.H. and Iva Messer Putman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry M. Crawford, who died in 1991; one sister, Patricia Beightler; one brother, Robert Putnam; one stepson, Earl Crawford; and one stepdaughter, Josephine Caldwell. She was employed as officer manager for A.C. Lawrence Company for 28 years and retired in 1978. She was a member of Hazelwood Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two stepsons, Earnest Crawford of Waynesville and J.M. Crawford of Rutherfordton, NC and one sister, Shirley Seidel, of Springfield, Tennessee. Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Larry W. Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
