Clyde, Way R. Kinsland, of the Crabtree community, was in St. Joseph Hospital when he went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Herman and Jessie Nichols Kinsland and was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Way Kinsland and a brother, Ney Kinsland. He was a retired US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Way was a jack-of-all trades, who loved antique cars, going to car shows, and was a member of the Mountaineer Antique Car Club. Way loved his family and was very proud of his grandchildren. He was a member of Crabtree Baptist Church. Way is survived by his wife of 26 years, Alma Roland Kinsland; two step-sons, Michael Thomas and his wife, Donna, of Hendersonville and Donald Thomas and his wife, Kelly, of Burnsville; two sisters, Doris McBride of Hendersonville and Reba Fothergill of Berea, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kayla, Christopher, and Emma Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Crabtree Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to services at the church.
