Wendy Southerland

Waynesville, Wendy Noel Messer Southerland, age 38, of Sunray Court, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Tim and Roberta Mathis Messer. Wendy enjoyed being with her children, going camping and going to the lake. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Felisha Southerland, of Clyde, Sophia Southerland, Tyler Southerland, of Waynesville and their father, Frank Southerland; one sister, Jessica Messer (John Hall), of Dandridge, Tennessee; one brother, Jeremy Messer (Tiffany), of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Carson and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Fulbright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
