Wesley Mcgee

October 15, 1934 — November 12, 2010

Wesley Duane McGee, age 76, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of McAlester, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late James Luther and Lillian Myrtle Skelton McGee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred McGee; and a sister, Nema Brandon. Wes loved woodworking and was very strong in his faith as a Christian. He loved his family very much and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Wes will be missed by all who knew him, especially his Chihuahua, "Tippy". He was a United States Air Force veteran having served in Korea. He is survived by his wife, of 57 years, Lois Snyder McGee; two daughters, Vicky Wood (Randy); Cathy Dover (Randall); three grandchildren, Jessica Wood, Tyler and Emily Dover. A memorial graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Military honors will be provided by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
