Wilena Ingram

Wilena Snyder Ingram, age 87, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Mission Hospital – St. Josephs Campus. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Milburn Ray and Jessie Seay Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ingram, who died in 1974; and a daughter, Kathy Thompson, who died in 1981. She was a member of Clyde Church of God. Wilena worked at American Enka, Mission Hospital as a CNA, Mountain Projects, and as a senior companion. She was involved in the Canton Senior Center and Haywood County Senior Games for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Ingram of Clyde; two sisters, Frances Rhinehart and Patsy Nations and her husband, Earl, all of Clyde; two brothers, Ray Snyder and his wife, Dorotheanna, of Asheville and Max Snyder and his wife, Theatta, of Bristol, VA.; two grandchildren, Tony Higgins and Stacy Craig and her husband, Butch; three grandchildren, Tucker Craig, and Aaron and Jarod Higgins; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Nations, Reverend Herman Toney, and Reverend Tyler Nations officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Clyde Church of God, P. O.
