Wilene Brown

Wilene Mathews Brown, age 72, of Plott Farm Circle, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Paul Russell and Lola Mae Cothran Matthews and was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Charles Brown, and a brother, Calvin Mathews. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Brown; a daughter, Phoebe Brown Pace and her husband, "Dooker", of Canton; three sons, Danny Howard Brown and his wife, Debbie, of Waynesville, Eric Dwight Brown and his wife, Karen, of Chesnee, SC and David Delano Brown, Jr., of Canton; a sister, Louise Mathews Dills, of Candler; two brothers, Charles Mathews and Guy Mathews, both of Canton; and eight grandchildren, Danielle Brown, Adam Brown, Katie Brown, Mary Hannah Pace, Caleb Pace, Allie Pace, Dylan Brown and Dawson Brown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kirby, Reverend Matthew Pruitt and the Reverend Darren "Dooker" Pace officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
