Willene Plemmons

May 12, 1927 — November 17, 2003

Canton-Willene Morrow Plemmons, of Dutch Cove Road, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at her residence.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late William Troy and Hobert Reid Morrow. She was also preceded in death by a brother Billy Reid Morrow and a sister Gale Neal. She was a medical assistant to various doctors in Haywood County including Midway Medical Center and was a devoted wife who loved to cook, can and preserve foods. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bob Plemmons and two sisters, Mary Jo Owen and Mellena Reed, both of Canton.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Morning Star United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton prior to the graveside service. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Bob Plemmons, 2415 Dutch Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
