William Corley

Waynesville, William Chad Corley, age 32, of 18705 Great Smoky Mountain Expressway, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Born in Buncombe County, he was a lifetime resident of Haywood County. He was the son of Charles Lynn and Lanie Rebecca Davis Corley of Waynesville. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Brooks Corley; paternal grandfather, Leroy Corley; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Eleanor Davis of Florida. Chad attended Dayspring Christian Academy and was employed by Lake Junaluska Animal Hospital for the past ten years. He had been called a "Dog Whisperer" by many of the clients there. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Laura Barker, of Canton; grandmother, Margie Corley Chambers and paternal grandfather, Cordell Chambers of Guyton, Georgia; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SARGE's Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O. Box 864, Waynesville, NC 28786.
