Waynesville, William Junior Ewart, of the White Oak Community, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Marie Fisher Ewart and was also preceded in death by one brother, Mark Ewart. William was a lover of the outdoors. He maintained a beautiful garden, never missed a chance to go bear hunting in White Oak, and loved to loafer at open-door flea markets. He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Clark (Barry), of Lake Junaluska and Samantha O'Kelley (Chris), of Waynesville; two sisters, Letha Hannah (Roger), of Maggie Valley and Mildred Rogers (Johnny), of Waynesville; two brothers, Freddie Ewart (Brenda), of Lenoir, North Carolina and Grover Ewart (Hilda), of Waynesville; a long-time partner and girlfriend, Mary Ferguson, of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Dakota and Mickey Lynn Clark, and Natasha O' Kelley; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville with Reverend Darryl Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville, and at other times, at the home of Ms. Wilma Price.
